Selwyn Foundation Seminar

The Selwyn Foundation is hosting a seminar based on Ministry to the Elderly at Selwyn Village, Point Chevalier, Auckland on 9th and 10th May 2002.

The aim is to share experiences and learn about ways Parishes can extend their Ministry to the Elderly through services to the community. We are privileged to have as a Elizabeth MacKinlay, Director of the Centre for Ageing and Pastoral Studies in Canberra, Australia as a guest speaker.

It is envisaged that the outcome of the conference will give participants the tools they need to take Ministry to the Elderly out into the community, as the environment for care of the aged undergoes substantial changes in the future.

There is no charge for this seminar and refreshments will be supplied. Parishes are invited to send two delegates to the seminar which organisers feel sure will be of benefit in preparing Parish's for the changes into the future. Some billets could be available on a first in basis. You will need to meet your own accomodation and travel arrangements.

For further information contact: Ministry to the Elderly, Selwyn Foundation, PO Box 44106, Point Chevalier, Auckland or ph: (09) 846 0119 fax:: (09) 845 0700
