Greetings

It's Assembly month and I feel, given the amount of written material people are receiving, it is best UPDATE is kept brief.

General Assembly

Practical arrangements are progressing well. The reports have been distributed. The extra reports were sent 9 September 2002. Registrations have been received and if you have not been contacted your registration has been accepted.

A summary of the accounts will be available at the Assembly. A full set of accounts will be available for those who seek them. None are being posted out prior to Assembly.

Please remember papers are embargoed until the beginning of Assembly at 2 p.m. on Sunday 22 September 2002. Only the Moderator of the General Assembly speaks for the General Assembly. If you are approached by any news media for comment about Assembly please refer them to the Right Rev. Rob Yule or the Communications Manager, Mary Macpherson ph 04 381 8284.

The powhiri is being held outside the St Patrick's College Chapel, Silverstream, Wellington at 1.15p.m. If there are any questions about the Assembly please do not hesitate to contact us.
