Mission Resource Team Co-Director, Southern

The Presbyterian Church is seeking to appoint a person to work as part of the Mission Resource Team to resource the Presbyteries of North Otago, Dunedin, Central Otago, Clutha, Mataura and Southland, their congregations and leaders, and the church nationally in building congregational health and developing leadership.

The person will:

Facilitate regional and local planning for mission

Encourage and resource leaders

Lead in the development of rural mission and ministry

Play a key role in introducing graduates from the School of Ministry to parishes

Resource the church's understanding of and commitment to the mission of lay people, evangelism and supervision

Give policy advice

Qualities sought include:

Enthusiasm for God's mission

Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills

Strategic thinking and planning ability

Working knowledge of the Presbyterian Church

Leadership experience in a Church or Christian organisation

Ability to work among different cultures
