Who is involved?
The aim of APW embraces every women's group within the church. Affiliation to APW is the choice of local parish groups. The wide-spread notion, that only the parish group that focusses on mission is APW, is a mistake. Local groups are autonomous Styles of meeting, activities of the group and distribution of money raised reflect the membership of the groups. Every parish group meets different local needs and all such diversity is an enrichment within the parish. Affiliation to APW is encouraged as it offers broadened perspectives and the opportunity to express concerns throughout the Church. No group needs to change its nature and focus to affiliate to and contribute into APW, the national organisation.
How does APW Communicate?

Communication is a key concern within the organisation of APW. Several avenues are used. Two Regional Conferences are held every year where hundreds of women explore social issues through study, workshops and fellowship Every third year a National Conference is held in the area of the National Executive. Such conferences are open to any wishing to attend.
Monthly communications reach groups throughout the country through the President's Newsletter. The departments of the National Executive -Missions, Parish & Community, and Programme, Prayer & Study - also prepare materials of interest which are readily available* Contributions to all the above publications are welcomed.
Another very important avenue of communication is the report of APW to the General Assembly by the National President. In addition,. correspondence with Government Agencies, Ministers of the Crown, welfare organisations and other church groups expresses the significant role of APW within Aotearoa New Zealand.
