National Assessment Result1 December 2003 Memorandum To: Presbytery/UDC Clerks, Session and Parish Clerks, Ministers From: Kerry Enright, Assembly Executive Secretary National Assessment ResultThe National Assessment Workgroup today advised the result of the assessment of Deborah Gordon as a candidate for National Ministry of Word and Sacrament. The Workgroup could not confirm that Deborah’s sense of call is to the National Ordained Ministry and have referred her to the Wellington Presbytery for further discussion and discernment of her ministry potential. They advise that the assessment was based on the normal processes for assessing candidates. Deborah’s application received careful and lengthy consideration, based on the criteria for assessment in the Book of Order. (Appendix E-13). Although the date for applications for next year is past, the Workgroup are open to receiving a late application should Deborah wish to reapply.
