Local Groups

At the beginning of June there were 41 Committed Conversation groups
actively meeting through the country, from North Shore to Southland. Some
are finsihing their, others just beginning.

"In many groups members are saying that from a feeling of some reluctance
they are now appreciating the opportunity the groups are giving them to come
to know and respect people with a view that is different to their own", the
Moderator said.

During July the Moderator will be meeting with group members in regions:

North Shore
Auckland
Hamilton
Rotorua
Napier
Palmerston North
Wellington
Christchurch
Oamaru
Dunedin

At these events the Moderator and some members of the Council of Assembly will listen to the insights groups have discerned. The Council will them determine if there is a way forward that could be presented to the General Assembly in September.
