A short term 'mission experience' can often be a significant and life changing opportunity.  We are able to broker a number of tailor made opportunities for individuals or small groups.   All are volunteer positions, vary in length of time and require some self funding to cover the travel costs.   However most people view such opportunities as an invaluable investment in their experience of life and find it richly rewarding.  Contact the GMO for more details.

Vanuatu

• Lecturer - Talua Ministry Training Centre - Support a one month guest Lectureship ($1500NZD) or donate a textbook ($200NZD).
• Onesua Presbyterian College Library - assist with donations for textbooks, library books and computer software (from NZ$100).
• Bush Missioner Programme - help cultivate an island community by supporting the training costs of a suitable community member to be trained in Biblical studies, worship leading, prayer, pastoral care and primary health care for one year at Talua Ministry Training Centre. (NZ$1000/yr)
• Sutherland House - get a group together, raise funds, visit and renovate the two ground floor flats or raise funds to replace the roof or pay for new furniture.
• Ebule Rural Training Centre - make a donation to support the Urban Workshop or Rural Training Centre.

Asia

• Thailand Prison Ministry - Support the outstanding work of Kathryn McDaniel, our Global Missioner in Chaing Mai. Contribute towards the costs of stationary, postage, food, toiletries and warm blankets for prisoners and Kathryns travel costs within Chaing Mai.
• Bicycles for Myanmar – NZ $250 each or NZ$1500 for a motorbike
• Water Buffalo -  NZ $800 for a pair of she buffalo’s
• Myanmar Community Chicken Farm -  NZ $1000 will purchase 500 chickens as well as food and medicine for a year
• India - Nursing Tutor Accommodation at Jagadhri - NZ$40,000 raised and the second flat completed.  Help Friends of Jagadhri Building Fund to start on the third flat.
• China - Rural Orphans Foster Project - Amity Foundation, a partner Aid agency, is seeking sponsor to foster orphans in China (NZ$500 per child). Priority given to girls.
  Nepal - Hope for the nations - Sponsor an orphan.

Africa

• Zambia - Start-up Finance - help start micro-enterprise initiatives in this country (NZ$3000 each).
• AIDS Initiatives  - support one of the numerous AIDS programmes in South Africa or Zambia.
