Liturgy Workshops by Dorothy McRae-McMahon
World acclaimed Australian liturgist, Dorothy McRae-McMahon will visit New Zealand to run a series of workshops on liturgy this year and in 2005.
The first workshop was held in North Canterbury in mid-July. Similar workshops will be held throughout New Zealand this year and next.
The workshops explore worship ideas including New Zealand symbolism and will benefit lay preachers, presbyters, worship leaders, and all interested in creative worship and meaningful prayers.
Rosalie Sugrue, Chairperson of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Lay Preachers Association, says the workshops will be a hands-on experience for participants and will draw on the ideas generated during the sessions.

Resources for Worship and Study
<typohead type="3">Preaching Notes and Prayers Kits</typohead>
Preaching Kit 6 – Pentecost 6-11 for 11 July – 15 August has been written by the Very Rev Neil Churcher of Dunedin and is now available both in printed form ($4 plus postage ) and on the website.
As with all the preaching notes, which cover every Sunday and special day of the Church year, these are based on the three year Common Lectionary readings. They are suitable for both lay and ordained preachers or can be used by groups either preparing worship or wanting to do some Bible study.
The notes contain exegetical material on each of the lectionary readings, preaching suggestions and prayers. These and other lectionary resources are available on www.presbyterian.org.nz in the “Find a Resource” section.
Ken Wall has produced an interesting study leave report called Identity - In Search of an Understanding which is available from him for $12 plus postage. He has done it in a format that could be used by individuals or groups for personal reflection and study. Rev K Wall, 176 Cobden St, Gisborne, email: kswall(at)clear.net.nz.
