1. 2004 Audited Annual Accounts
The 2004 audited annual accounts were widely distributed as part of an accounts information package. There have been some positive comments about the package.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
2. June 2004 outstanding statistics
As noted last month, many parishes (currently more than 20 percent) have not provided their statistics. These were due by the end of August. Presbyteries have been advised of parishes in their area that have not yet provided this information. The statistics are important for the Church, and we are keen to complete this task in the near future, so please send in statistics as soon as possible.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
3. Earthquake Damage
It is possible that some Presbyterian properties suffered damage in the recent earthquake, which was centred 240 km south-west of Te Anau.
If damage is caused to properties used for residential accommodation then Aon must notify the Earthquake Commission within 30 days of the event – effectively by 23 December 2004.
Please check your premises and let Aon know the position as soon as possible so that they can coordinate any inspection work that may be needed. Aon can be contacted on 0800 502 020.
4. New initiatives
Improving the information on invoices
There has been a focus on improving the level of information on monthly invoices and statements. The level of information previously provided was recognised as inadequate and was also difficult to understand. The improvements are reflected in the current month’s invoices and statement.
We would appreciate any feedback you may have about the new format.
Tracking queries, action requests and complaints
We have set up a system to track queries, action requests and complaints and the level of responsiveness to these items. We have started an internal weekly report about these matters so we can track our responsiveness and look to improve our service performance.
Please send your email queries, action requests and complaints to FSD(at)presbyterian.org.nz so we can track these items. If you were previously sending items to personal email addresses then I would ask you use the above email address.
5. Beneficiary Fund – Ministers’ contributions
Aon Consulting have advised many ministers have not returned their direct debit authorities to allow Aon to deduct their personal contributions each month.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
If you have not already returned your direct debit authority please do so urgently. Failure to set this up will affect your benefits in the long term.
If you have mislaid your form or have any questions regarding your Beneficiary Fund please contact Aon at 0800 266 463.
6. Assembly Office Christmas closure
The Assembly Office will be closed from 5pm Thursday, 23 December and open again from Monday, 10 January 2005.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Best wishes for a joyful Christmas from all of the Finance Team at the Assembly Office.
