1. Annual Insurance update - provisional insurance schedules due 31 May
The annual insurance renewal round has started. Please ensure that you review the provisional insurance schedules, update where necessary and return to Assembly office before the end of May. We need to provide Aon with the details of what needs to be insured very early in June so they can go to the market for quotes.
2. Statistics forms distributed to session clerks in the middle of May
This is to advise that the annual statistics forms for the year to 30 June 2005 will be distributed shortly. These forms are due to be returned to your presbytery statistics recorder by Friday 5 August. That data is due to be forwarded to the Assembly office shortly thereafter.
It is disappointing that 27 parishes have yet to provide 2004 statistics.
3. Assembly Assessment underpayment is reducing as at end of April
There continues to be a significant level of underpayment of Assembly Assessment, at 13 percent as at the end of April. This issue continues to be a serious concern. Twenty parishes owe $217,000 for Assembly Assessment and $368,000 non-Assembly Assessment money – a total of $585,000
4. Appeal has been generously supported - $15,000 received at end of April
It is with much appreciation that we report that the appeal has been generously supported, and we have received in excess of $15,000. There has been plenty of correspondence about the appeal, with some parishes declining, many considering the matter and a number of individuals giving varying sums.
5. Resignation of long serving finance team member – Sulupo Nanai
It is with regret that we report that Sulupo has resigned as a member of the Finance team. He has been a team member for many years. We have commenced the recruitment process for a new team member.
