Election of the Moderator of General Assembly 2010-2012
1. Preliminary
Parishes have already been invited to send names of suitable people to their Presbytery/UDC. (If parishes have already submitted names through the Church’s website, these will be forwarded to Presbytery.) These names must be with your Presbytery/UDC prior to the meeting at which these nominations will be considered.
2. Round One – Nominations
Presbyteries/UDCs consider the nominations from their parishes and any from within the Presbytery/UDC, then submit the name of one person to the Co-convenor of the Nominating Committee. (Rev Doug Lendrum, 70 Khyber Pass Rd, Grafton, Auckland) by 20 March 2008. No late nominations will be accepted.
3. Round Two - Voting
Presbyteries/UDC vote for one person on the list of names sent by the Nominating Committee. The name of the nominee must by posted by 20 May 2008 to the Co-convenor of the Nominating Committee, Rev Doug Lendrum, 70 Khyber Pass Rd, Grafton, Auckland)
4. Round Three - Preferential Voting
Parishes submit their preferences (from the shortlist provided by the Nominating Committee) to the Clerk of the Assembly by 20 July 2008 by ordinary mail.
Please note that no exceptions will be made for late nominations.
