GA08 keynote speaker
The Rev Professor Randall Prior will be the keynote speaker at this year’s General Assembly.
Professor Prior is Director of the Ministerial Education Centre for Theology and Ministry, Principal of the Theological College, Uniting Church of Australia, Melbourne, and Professor of Ministry Studies and Missiology. His research interests include an exploration in the relationship between Gospel and culture in Vanuatu as an experiment in grounding theology in the context of a post-independent South Pacific. Professor Prior has written five volumes on Gospel and culture in Vanuatu. A sixth volume is in process and due for publication by the end of 2008. Professor Prior has served as a minister in parishes in Australia, Canada and Vanuatu.
Moderator Designate the Rev Dr Graham Redding says Professor Prior is superbly placed as a theologian, missiologist and parish minister to speak on the Assembly theme of “Reformed and Reforming”. He will deliver three half-hour addresses – on Friday, Saturday and Sunday – as well as meeting with ministry students in a seminar situation.
