The successful applicants for the recently completed 2002 round of Presbyterian Foundation Grants were:
St Andrew's Uniting Whangarei, Northland UCC - $7,500 Working with at-risk unemployed young Maori
St Paul's, Waiheke Island, Auckland - $3,000. Great Barrier Island Outreach - St John's Community Church Continuation of 2002 Project - conflict resolution and leadership training
St John's Mt Roskill, Auckland - $15,000 Conversion of house into church facility for outreach into the community to assist people with physical disabilities and involve the church in another ministry.
Papakura Christian Services Trust, South Auckland - $6,000 Angelslight Breakfast Club - feeding hungry children on school premises before school.
St Andrew's Hamilton, Waikato - $6,000 Mission to the Korean community
Omokoroa Community Church, Bay of Plenty - $3,500 Loop hearing aid system for the church
Knox, Waitara, Taranaki - $5,000 Children & Families Outreach work
St Paul's Feilding, Manawatu - $5,000 Just Sew II weekly sewing classes and creche
St Alban's Palmerston North, Manawatu - $8,500 ESL and community worker
Knox Feilding, Manawatu - $7,000 For Manchester House Social Services Inc - "Post Crisis Counselling and Therapy for Children"
St David's, Palmerston North, Manawatu - $2,500 "Ministries with Families" programmes
St David's Union Church, Carterton, Wairarapa UDC - $4,000 Indoor gym - Outreach to Children and Families
Kapiti Uniting, Wellington - $6,000 Comers & Goers Cafe/Playgroup
St Andrew's on the Terrace, Wellington - $3,500 Enhancement of Loop hearing aid system
Karori Northland Uniting Wellington - $7,500 Community Pastoral Project: Outreach to housebound, elderly and special needs
Wairau Presbyterian Parish, Nelson/Marlborough - $5,000 Counselling Service - financially available to all
St David's, Richmond, Nelson/Marlborough - $2,500 Adventure Outreach for over 60's
Christchurch Presbytery Ministry Committee, Christchurch - $3,000 Rolleston Community Development Research
Christchurch North Presbyterian, Christchurch - $3,500 Youth Work Outreach
St Stephen's, Christchurch - $10,000 Mission Facilitation: Courses for migrants, elderly and young
