The Moderator of the 1998 Assembly inducted the Reverend Robert Yule by prayer. The Moderator and Clerk of Te Aka Puaho presented Mr Yule with the Moderator's Korowai. Mr Yule signed the Centennial Bible.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion was celebrated.
The Assembly adjourned to meet again at 2.00 pm, Sunday 1 October 2000 at the Dunedin College of Education.
The Moderator pronounced the benediction.
In the evening, Commissioners and guests joined in a banquet, and viewed "A Piece of Cake", a play which told the story of how the northern and southern churches joined to form the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand.
On the morning of Sunday 1 October members of Assembly dispersed to worship in local congregations.
