Enrolling for GA12
Enrolment is now open for the 2012 General Assembly in Rotorua, 4-7 October 2012. Enrolment packs, enrolment forms and travel reimbursement forms wil be posted the week commencing 18 June 2012 to all those that presbyteries have agreed will represent congregations as Commissioners or Observers. Update regarding Hotel Formule 1
Rather than giving a code to the hotel GA12 preferential booking, as advised in the Enrolment Pack, please click here to make your hotel booking.
Since the free shuttle from Auckland to Ohope will be leaving the Hotel Formule 1 at 6.30 am on Thursday, 4 October, it is recommended that those spending Wednesday night in Auckland stay at the Hotel Formule 1.

Reviving the Flame GA12 Bible study
The Moderator's GA12 study, written by the incoming Moderator the Rev Ray Coster, is enclosed with the enrolment pack that will arrive by post. You will receive six copies. The study is on the Moderator’s theme: "Reviving the Flame: Living in the power of God's presence and the presence of God's power." You can also download the GA12 Bible study booklet here.
The study has been written for use primarily by small groups but is also suitable as a personal Bible study. Contact Sandra Homan at the Assembly Office if you would like more copies mailed to you, email sandra@presbyterian.org.nz or phone 04 8016000.
Please use them in your parish so that we can all benefit from the discussion, and help our commissioners come to Assembly with our prayers and our desire to experience "the power of God's presence and the presence of God's power".
Papers for GA12
In the next few weeks, various reports written for the Assembly will be put on the website here; you are free to access the reports and discuss them with those you are representing, but please remember they are not officially part of our decision-making until they are agreed to at the Assembly. They are not for distribution outside of our Church. And of course, Commissioners should remember that we make decisions together in Assembly, open to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
The White Book
The White Book (General Assembly Guide and Working Papers) was mailed out in August to those GA12 Commissioners who have enrolled. Commissioners will not receive the White Book until they do enrol, so please send your completed enrolment form in.
Proposals for Special Legislation
The Book of Order says these must be in to the Assembly Clerk eight weeks before the Assembly; in 2012 this will be in early August. However, because we want to ensure that the proposals get into the White Book and that there is sufficient time for consultation and editing, we are asking that you send them to us much earlier, preferably by the end of June.
GA Youth Delegates
PYM will host an orientation afternoon for youth delegates at Rotorua Boy’s High School from 2-6pm, Wed 3 October 2012. More information here.
Media at GA12
All media at Rotorua Boys’ High School are asked to sign in at the registration desk and wear a GA12 media badge while on site.
