This register contains a database of New Zealand Presbyterian Church Baptisms available online up to 1920. This cataloguing project will be an ongoing long-term project as all entries are transcribed by volunteers and additionally many baptismal registers are still stored in regional repositories. A search engine shall be placed on this page once the database expands to a sufficient level.

The date recorded on this database may sometimes reflect the date of birth rather than the date of baptism.

Where a date of Baptism or Birth is ommitted it can generally be assumed that this was an adult Baptism.

Format of Baptism Entries (Unless otherwise stated) : Surname of Child / First Names / Date of Birth or Baptism / Register Number.
Information Recorded on the Original Rolls :
Full Roll entries may include all or some of the following (the amount of information recorded varies considerably) :
- Full name of the child baptised
- Name of the Father
- Occupation of the Father
- Name of the Mother
- Full date of Baptism
- The name of the Minister who performed the Baptism
- The Baptism roll number in the register
Ordering Copies of the original Entries :
New Zealand Residents : A full transcript of original entries costs NZ$15.00 each (inclusive of 12.5% NZ Goods & Services Tax) plus postage within New Zealand of 50 cents. Refer below for credit card payment options.
Australian Residents : A full transcript of original entries costs NZD$15.00 each plus air postage of NZD$1.50 Refer below for credit card payment options.
All Other Countries : A full transcript of original entries costs NZD$15.00 each plus air postage of NZD$2.00 Refer below for credit card payment options. In certain circumstances we can accept payment by personal cheque in foreign currency.
Credit Card Payments : We welcome payments by Visa, Mastercard [Access], and American Express. Your credit card details will be fully encrypted during processing by the "PayPal" secure server. At no stage are your credit card details divulged either to ourselves or any third party. Please note that payments made via "PayPal" will incur a fee of 3.4% on the total transaction amount up to NZD$99.99 and 3% for all amounts over NZD$100.00 This will add around NZD$ .53 to the cost of one transcription and is to partially cover 'Paypal' transaction fees. The total amount payable will be quoted prior to 'checkout'.
Please Note :Due to the amount of work involved in casual enquiries we regret that we are unable to supply any additional information from certificates without payment of either the standard charge (as above) to obtain a transcript of the actual entry or payment of our minimum research fee (NZD$22.50).

Ordering Written Confirmation of Your Own Baptism :
To comply with Government regulations we will supply at no cost written confirmation of Baptisms from our records (where we actually hold the record and regardless of the date) subject to the following conditions :
- The Baptism can only be for the enquirer and not ordered by a third party.
- A photocopy of a verifiable form of identification is provided (eg : passport, driver's Licence etc) and a signed letter of request is received from that person.
- Requests will be provided as a scanned PDF document otherwise a stamped addressed envelope should be supplied.
