Here are some of the students who are studying at Talua Ministry Training Centre. If you are interested in supporting them in any way, then see below:
My name is Martin Namel and I come from the island of Erromango in the Southern part of Vanuatu. I am a student at the Talua Ministry Training Centre. I am training to become a pastor and hopefully one day I will become a lecturer at a Theological School. I have been studying here for four years and this is now my final year at Talua.
Within the last three years my parents struggled to pay for my school fees. As a result they feel fortunate to complete paying my fees for my first three years. This year they have not been able to pay my fees because of the reasons stated below:
As a request, if you are able to assist with my fees, I will be very appreciative and continue to pray for you. In fact, I hope together we will be able to build up a strong relationship with God. We are the servants of God.
Thank You for your support.
My pray is that God's blessing will always be with you.
Martin Namel
My name is Peter B. Yosef. I am a ni-Vanuatu. I come from Uripiv Island in Malampa province. I used to serve as an elder in our local church before coming to Talua Ministry Training Centre in 2008. I have been here for two years now. I have always loved the Lord Jesus.
I am married to Roslyn Yosef from Pentecost in Penama Province. We have four children Phannyross (18), Saimon (12), Maichole (8) and Juleen (1). We all love the Lord Jesus and we serve him. It has been a real blessing for my family to hear about you. We look forward to working together for the building up of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are very eager to join with you as partners. Thank you in advance for accepting an offer to join your family as Christian families of God.
May God's blessing continue to be upon us all.
Peter Yosef.
Greeting in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Edwin Malilu, I am married and have 2 children, Rebecca (4)and Noel (1). I come from an island in the Shepherd group called Emae. The Shepherd group is located in the central part of Vanuatu.
I was bought up in a Christian home and my father is a senior elder in our local Presbyterian Church. After I had attended primary and secondary school up to year 10 in French, I went back home and joined our local youth fellowship. It was there I felt God's calling for me and my desire to pursue and to know his word more.
After I got married in early 2007, I applied to Talua Theological College and was accepted. This year (2009) is my second year and I find it difficult to keep up with the fees required for my course. Next year (2010) is my final year and I would like to bring my wife and children to the college with me. As finance has been an obstacle this has not been possible so far. I feel bad that I have not brought them over to be with me in the college during my studies.
The grass withers and the flower fades but the word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
With God's blessing to you.
Edwin Malilu
God wants us to continue to extend his Kingdom in this world, and the purpose of our lives is to seek his will and to complete Christian mission to other parts of the world.
I was born in a family of 5. I am the eldest son in the family and my name is Kalangai Mansale. I was brought up in a Christian family and my village is Mele village, near Port Vila, on the island of Efate. My family are not well in finance and that is our difficulty in life.
I went to primary school and received a secondary education at Onesua Presbyterian College. As the years passed, it seemed that God wanted to use me in the church. Attending Talua in the years 1999 – 2000, I graduated with a Certificate in Theology. After this my Session used me to work closely with young people in building up their spiritual lives. In my heart I prayed that God would send me back to Talua for pastoral training. In the year 1999, I was married to Rose and we now have three boys.
I started my pastoral training in the year 2006, and this is my final year. Rose is also undertaking the Diploma programme, and it is our vision that we want to continue further studies. At this time we find it very hard in finding money to complete my school fees, but we really thank God that he always provides our needs to make it possible.
