Primary Mission Relationship
History of mission work in Vanuatu [pdf 67KB]
The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand has affirmed the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu as our 'primary mission relationship'. This special status is not meant to relegate others to a secondary position. Rather it is an expression of the fact that we have been working in Vanuatu the longest. We are delighted to be partners on a number of current projects that we encourage our congregations to support.

Bush Missioner' programme
This very creative programme involves a one-year training programme at Talua Ministry Training Centre. A suitable church member from an island community is trained in pastoral care and primary health care. This training costs approximately NZ$1000 for the one year Programme. The graduates are then deployed in their home community and earn approximately NZ$75 per month.
