St Albans Presbyterian Church, Palmerston North, is looking for a ‘Young Families Pastor’ to join our ministry team.
This paid position is for 20hrs per week, with the potential for the hours to increase in the future. The starting date is negotiable, beginning 1st August 2023 at the earliest.
St Albans has a vision to make disciples of Jesus from all nations and to see people passionate for Jesus, growing in community and mission, through experiencing God’s love and Word and being led by the Holy Spirit in all of life.

The ‘Young Families Pastor’ position will focus on embedding the six key ministry essentials of a ‘Whanau Friendly Church’ in the life and mission of St Albans;
- Being Christ Centred
- Intentional Faith Formation
- Valuing Children, Youth and Families
- Partnering with Families
- Strengthening Generational Connections
- Serving in Mission Together
The position also includes coordination and leadership of Sunday morning Children’s Programmes and pastoral care of children and families.
