Rev Thomas Smaill joined the New Hebrides Mission on Epi in 1889, being sent by the Synod of Otago and Southland.  He married Helen J Grant in 1890 and died in 1902.

Item Description : This file contains two letters written by Rev Thomas Smaill on Epi (New Hebrides) to Rev W J Comrie of Kelso (Southland).

As these letters were located in the Foreign Missions Committee New Hebrides Staff file for Rev T. Smaill, it is assumed that Rev. Comrie forwarded them to his Mission Committee.
