Item Description : This file contains reports and memoranda concering the New Hebrides Mission.

Reports and memoranda include:-
1. Tongoa District report to the New Hebrides Mission Synod by Rev B.R.C. Nottage (1938).  The report comments on education, native health and the current state of the native church.
2. Report on a visit to the New Hebrides by the Missions Secretary-Elect, Rev. JS Murray (1948).  The report comments on the New Hebrides Synod; the mission constitution; Tangoa Teachers' Training Institute; Tongoa, Emae-Epi and Nguna Districts; personnel; mission property; transport; future building needs and costing; use of tele-radios; un-evangelised areas, and the future of the mission.
3. Report on visit to the New Hebrides including educational and welfare work by Rev. TE Riddle.  Report makes reference to total lack of funding for native education by the British administration (1938).
4. Booklet prepared by the New Hebrides Mission Synod discussing the medical and educational needs of the New Hebrides, including school curriculums (1943).
5. Report prepared by the NZ Missions Committee discussing the medical and educational needs of the New Hebrides, base on missionary reports and the synod publication - refore report no. 4 (1943).
6. Report of students' trek through South Santo Hinterland (Sept 1947)
7. Report of the Committee on Lands and Titles, which compiled a list of all land owned by Protestant Missions in the New Hebrides and endeavoured to obtain all title documents for safekeeping on behalf of the Mission Synod
    (Jun 1945).
