Christian World Service has launched an appeal for Fiji after Cyclone Winston caused widespread destruction. The death toll has reached 42 and continues to rise. Many more have been injured, and government authorities report that more than 13,000 people are sheltering in evacuation centres.

Leith Valley interim lead pastor’s position

A position exists for a person with appropriate experience and ability to fill a two-year vacancy as interim lead pastor in the Leith Valley Parish in Dunedin.

This position coincides with the two year absence of our present lead pastor who will be away on national duties for this period.

This full-time position begins in November of 2016, however a transition period of negotiable length would be required, potentially at half time.

This year, Neighbours Day Aotearoa - the weekend that brings neighbours together to help build stronger, more resilient communities - falls on Psalm Sunday, with Good Friday just a few days later.

With this in mind, PresCare, the partnership between the Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Support, is resourcing parishes to get involved by sharing Easter buns with your neighbours.
