The Rev Don Ikitoelagi has been appointed to the newly created role of Pasifika Misionare.
He will be based in Auckland where he will resource and support the growth and development of the mission and ministry of the Church’s Pacific Island congregations, with a special emphasis on their engagement with younger people.
Don returns to New Zealand after five years with the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania in the Uniting Church in Australia, where he was Director of Cross Cultural Mission and Ministry.
Don has previously held a national role with the Presbyterian Church; from 1997 to 2005 he represented to the PCANZ the views of the Pacific members of the Church in terms of mission and ministries. Prior to this, Don was a minister at West United Presbyterian Church in Wanganui.
