The Centre for Theology & Public Issues at the University of Otago is organising a one-day conference on 28 August on the life, work and legacy of 19th c Presbyterian minister, Rev Rutherford Waddell & the Sin of Cheapness. Venue: Burns Hall, First Church, Moray Place, Dunedin. Keynote speaker: Helen Kelly, President, New Zealand Council of Trade Unions. The Church Property Property Trustees seek an Administrative Secretary with at least eight years experience. Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will provide efficient  administration support, including the processing of property related applications, loan administration, liaising with financial services providers, the preparation of agendas, minute taking at meetings, daily banking requirements and the preparation of income and expenditure reports. The development of Christian faith among Māori has changed over time from the missionary endeavours of Pākehā settlers, to the development of indigenous expressions of Christian faith, to co-operative partnerships between Māori and Pākehā in the mainline churches, and to the recent emergence of the Destiny Church.

The Presbyterian Church seeks a communications advisor to work in our small communications team communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including the media, and producing publications. The right candidate will have a minimum of four years experience in a similar role.
