2014 Mission
This is advance notice for Northern Presbytery’s Children’s Mission in Taichung, Taiwan. The initiative is a joint project between Northern Presbytery and Taichung Presbytery.
Introduction and Background
In 2009, the Presbytery of Taichung of the PCT and the Northern Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church established a partnership relationship and mission trips between the presbyteries are an expression of that relationship. The mission will take place again this year from around 17 November 2014 to the 22 December 2014, with exact dates to be confirmed.
The Mission
In 2012 and 2013 we taught Basic English classes in four public elementary schools in and around Taichung, which is a large city situated in the centre of Taiwan. The team interacted with the children (aged 6 to 12) and staff of the schools. The teams in 2012-13 and the 2013-14 were generously welcomed and the mission was a great success.
