The Dawn Service will be broadcast live on Māori TV https://www.maoriplus.co.nz/show/waitangi-2026-kei-o-ringa and TVNZ one https://www.tvnz.co.nz/livetv/tvnz-1 from Te Whare Rūnanga at Waitangi. Our Moderator Rt Rev Peter Dunn will be at Waitangi with Motoreta / Moderator of Te Aka Puahou Rev Tamiana Thrupp, plus other church leaders including from the Anglican, Catholic and Methodist churches. This year’s dawn karakia will be informed by the 2026 kaupapa, focused on manaakitanga (extending warmth, respect and hospitality) and 'Mō tātou, mā tatou'(By us all, for us all).
