The PCANZ Corporate Overseas Travel Insurance policy is available to the following people in Presbyterian and cooperative or uniting venture churches, presbyteries, Te Aka Puahou and the Synod of Otago and Southland, who have been authorised by those bodies to undertake international travel:

  • Ministers
  • Employees
  • Close family
  • Volunteers

Close family includes husband, wife or partner, and dependent children under 18 years old.
Volunteers include people from across the wider Church travelling overseas to undertake unpaid mission work (building schools or other activities).

Cost

This is currently $10 per person/day. GST does not apply. The Assembly Office will issue an invoice.

Types of Travel covered

The policy covers work-related overseas travel including associated, private, personal and family travel outside New Zealand. This includes domestic travel only in connection with the overseas travel.
For the main traveller, more than 50% of the trip must be work-related, but some personal travel on the same trip may be included, as long as that is less than 50% of the entire trip.
The travel cover must be authorised by the PCANZ Assembly Office and confirmed in writing, e.g., by email and will be recorded in the Assembly Office Travel Register.
