Change is coming that will make things easier.
We are consolidating all parish and related entities financial accounts into General Assembly’s year-end financial statements.
We’ll help you every step of the way!
Consolidated financial accounts is a requirement for PCANZ under the Financial Reporting Act. We can’t afford to lose our charitable status!
Don’t worry, consolidation does not change anything at all regarding stewardship of your parish resources and funds.
How are things made easier?
o Less compliance work for parishes and their treasurers
o No individual annual returns for Presbyterian churches.
o Completion of compliant year end accounts no longer required at a parish or presbytery level for Presbyterian churches
When does this begin?
For 30 June 2019 - Kaimai Presbytery & Te Aka Puaho to include their financial information into General Assembly accounts.
For 30 June 2020 - all presbyteries & parishes consolidated.
What support will be offered?
We will work alongside you every stage.
Sandra Kennerley PCANZ Finance Manager & expert Glen Williams, who completed consolidations for both the Anglican Church and Scouts New Zealand, alongside presbytery support will:
o Visit presbyteries and parishes to provide ongoing support.
o Provide helpful resources.
