CWM Face to Face 2018 in India

The Council for World Mission (CWM) invites applications for their Face to Face programme. Face to Face is for theological students.

The programme Building Life-Affirming Communities: Face To Face with the many poor and the many faiths in Asia will be held 12 Feb-24 Mar 2018 and will be conducted in both Bishop’s College, Kolkata and Henry Martin Institute, Hyderabad, India.  

Face to Face is a six-week programme that aims to invite the students preparing for ministry to understand how the fullness of life is being denied to a large majority of the world’s population. Participants will come face to face with the issues of poverty and pluralism, specifically within the Asian context of many religions; to engage in a global dialogue on theology, spirituality and mission through intercultural exchange and theological reflection by facilitating immersion programmes, Bible studies and seminars reflecting on doing mission in the context of Empire.

Applicants need to write a 2,000 word essay (see brief). Selection will be done on the basis of this essay, taking into consideration gender and regional representation.

All costs are covered with the exception of passport and visa requirements.
