Week of prayer for world peace starts 13 October

The Week of Prayer for World Peace was started as a Christian initiative in 1974. It soon became an interfaith activity, and now welcomes everyone, of all faith traditions, or none.

The Week of Prayer for World Peace will be observed in New Zealand between 13th and 20th October. A leaflet has been produced by the New Zealand organising committee with prayers, readings and affirmations from many faiths to use each day.
