Spring 2014

The spring edition of sPanz magazine celebrates 50 years of Presbyterian Women Aotearoa New Zealand. We discover how Presbyterian women are addressing serious issues through Bridgebuilders. We introduce three women recently appointed to senior roles: PressGo Catalyst, Director of the Presbyterian Schools Resource Office and Archivist. We admire three generations of Maori women who have been influenced by Turakina Maori Girls’ College. We share photographs on exhibition in China from the Presbyterian Archives. We profile the 2014 KCML graduates. We learn why child poverty is an issue that will help New Zealanders decide how to vote. We share the final column of the Moderator, the Right Rev Ray Coster on healing inequality. We discover why it is a time of change for Friends of Jagadhri. We find out about the Presbyterian Church’s concerns regarding migrant worker exploitation. Plus many more stories from throughout our Church.
