Autumn 2013

Our Autumn edition of Spanz looks at building safety and how churches are responding to the CPT’s policy on earthquake-prone church buildings. We learn how Presbyterian Support “regional champions” are fostering relationships with local parishes. We share the remarkable journey that one woman took from Rwandan refugee to church elder. We profile the new director of the Knox Information and Research Centre; the new Master of Knox College, Dunedin; and the new director of the Presbyterian Church Schools office. We find out how a group of 90 Dunedin women created a “secret” quilt for their retiring minister. We explore why the Presbyterian Church is hosting a series of Ethics in Ministry workshops throughout the country. We ask what’s next for Prison Fellowship New Zealand's programmes after the closure of the Faith Based Unit at Rimutaka Prison. We discover how book groups are providing fellowship and strengthening communities; and we hear about Calvin Presbyterian’s and Cromwell & Districts Presbyterian’s mission programmes. Plus many more stories from throughout our Church. Click to download here.
